Start here

“I'm free” — the step before any outing

Say you're free, choose how long it lasts and who can see it, and watch which friends are free right now. The announcement expires on its own, and only the people you picked ever see it.

The “I'm free” sheet in the app: statuses, duration, and who can see the announcement
  • Friends free now

A row on the home screen showing who's free, and what they're up for.

  • “What should we do?”

Float an idea to your group, let them vote on the options, then turn it into an outing.

  • Straight into an outing

From an announcement or an idea to a real outing — with its time, place and people.

  • Friends and groups

Add a friend by QR code or username, and build a group with its roles and its join link.

Outings

The whole outing — from first idea to last transfer

One outing holds all of it: who's coming, where and when, what you'll do, who does what, what everyone brings, and what each person owes.

Attendance & invites

One shared link, a personal invite per person, or a QR code.

  • Going · maybe · declined — visible to everyone
  • Capacity, a waitlist and seat offers
  • Companions, and a seat for someone without an account yet
  • Close joining or rotate the link whenever you want

Place & time

Pick the spot on the map; everyone opens it in Google Maps.

  • Choose the location on a map
  • A link that opens in their maps app
  • The time shows up in the timeline and in My plans

Polls

End the debate: options, visible votes, one decision.

  • Add options — and so can they
  • Votes update live
  • Finalise the poll and it becomes the decision
  • Polls inside the chat too

Tasks

Everyone knows their job — no “I thought you had it”.

  • A task with an owner and helpers
  • Claim it yourself or be assigned it
  • A completion mark everyone can see

Supplies — what we're bringing

A list of items with quantities, and who committed to each one.

  • Items in sections, with quantities and a readiness bar
  • Full or partial commitment (“2 of 4”)
  • Per-head mode — quantities scale with who's actually coming
  • “Already have it” or “I'll buy it”, with the receipt
  • A private packing list only you can see

Kitty & expenses

A clear record of who paid and who owes — you transfer outside the app.

  • A kitty with a treasurer and approved contributions
  • Expenses paid personally or from the kitty
  • Split equally, by percentage, by amount or by shares
  • Settlement in the fewest transfers, with receipt confirmation
  • Export the ledger as CSV

Yalla Netlaa never holds money and never moves it. These are bookkeeping records that tell you who owes whom.

The outing supplies list: items with quantities, who committed to each, and the readiness bar
A poll inside an outing: options, votes, and a finalised decision
  • Ready-made templates

Camping, beach, dinner, rest house and more — the outing starts with its list and tasks.

  • My plans

Outings, trips and gatherings in one tab, with a filter for each.

  • Review afterwards

Rate the outing once it's over, and keep the verdict among you.

Communities

Not just a group chat — a community with its own meetups

Create a community and publish it, or join ones near you. Each has its members, moderators, events, chat and posts.

Create and publish

Your community with its name, cover, description and city — published so it appears in Explore.

Members and moderators

Roles and a management team, join requests to review, and bans you can lift.

Community events

A meetup with a time, place and seats — free, or paid via a transfer receipt the organiser reviews.

Tickets and check-in

Every attendee gets a QR ticket the organiser scans at the door, or marks by hand.

Posts and chat

Posts, replies, reactions and pinning, plus a community chat with channels.

Ratings

Rate the meetup after attending; community ratings show up for anyone thinking of joining.

Explore — find something on tonight

Search for a meetup or community, filter by city and interest, or see them on a map.

The Explore tab: community meetups with interest categories, date filters and a map button

Gatherings

An invitation worth sending

Create the gathering, choose its background and typeface, and send every guest their own link. They open it in a browser and reply — no account, no download.

Guests open the invitation in any browser and reply straight away — without creating an account. And add it to their calendar in one tap.

A gathering dashboard: the invitation card, the reply breakdown, and preparation progress

An invitation card

Backgrounds and typefaces to choose from, carrying the occasion, time and place.

A link per guest

A private link for each invitee, a public one you can post, or a QR code.

Replies as they come

Going · maybe · declined · no reply — and a reminder for anyone who opened it and went quiet.

Guest lists and helpers

Save guest lists and reuse them, and let helpers add their own guests.

Everyone brings one thing

Each guest picks something to bring — dessert, salad, charcoal — with no duplicates.

Scan them in

An admission pass per guest, scanned at the door — and it works with no signal.

Travel

A trip that's organised from day one

A trip with its cities, dates and travellers, a plan for each day, bookings and documents, decisions put to a vote, and an account everyone can read.

“What's on you right now?”

The trip dashboard shows each traveller what's actually waiting on them: a booking to confirm, a decision to weigh in on, or their share of the kitty.

A trip dashboard: the trip card, the travel assistant, and a “what's on you now” list

Travellers and roles

Invite the group with a link, and divide the responsibilities between you.

Daily itinerary

Each day's activities, laid out across the trip's days and cities.

Bookings and documents

Flights, hotels and paperwork in one place, visible only to the group.

Decisions and votes

Pending decisions get settled by a vote instead of a hundred messages.

Packing

A shared packing list for the trip, and a private one for each traveller.

Expenses and kitty

Expenses in any currency, a kitty and float and wallets, a personal budget, and a final settlement.

Chats

The chat lives inside the outing, not in another group

Every outing, group, trip and community has its own conversation, alongside direct messages. The details don't get lost between messages — they're part of them.

  • Photos, video and voice notes
  • Quoted replies, reactions and pinned messages
  • Edit and delete, or hide a message just for yourself
  • Share a location that opens in maps
  • Polls right inside the chat
  • Message search, mute, and pin a conversation

Muted the chat? A mention still reaches you — everything else stays quiet.

A group conversation: a pinned poll, a quoted reply, a shared location and a photo

Yalla AI

The assistant plans with you — and changes nothing without your say-so

Tell it what you want, by typing or by voice, and it builds the draft. You see it before it happens, and you're the one who approves it.

“What are we planning?”

An outing, a trip or a gathering — drafted from what you said.

Outing planner

Suggests the supplies, their quantities and the tasks, based on the kind of outing and how many are coming.

Travel assistant

“Plan us a day in Rome”, log an expense in any currency, or read a receipt.

Gathering assistant

Writes the invitation text and suggests a background that fits the occasion.

Nothing happens quietly

Every suggestion is shown before it's applied, anything touching money or hard to undo needs an explicit confirmation — and it names out loud whatever it worked out on its own.

The full assistant, by text and voice, is part of the AI Plus plan.

How it works

Four steps, and you're out

  1. 1

    Pick what you feel like

Say you're free, start an outing, or float an idea to your group.

  2. 2

    Share it with your people

One link, a personal invite or a QR code — even for someone without the app.

  3. 3

    Sort the details together

Attendance, polls, tasks, supplies and the kitty — all in one place.

  4. 4

    Go and enjoy it

Afterwards the settlement closes, and the review stays with you.
